Ganesh Chaturthi Puja Vidhi – Laghu puja
Nitya puja is carried out by individuals for 1 or three days. In the evening after sunset, they perform these rituals again do the aarti and after that go for Ganapati visarjan.

Take another brass or copper plate and place the lord Ganesha idol on it. Now do the abhishekam of Ganesha with gangajal, wipe it with new cloth and place it on the altar. After this decorate the idol with clothes and ornaments. Now offer him moli, one pinch of rice/akshat, roli, sandalwood powder, sindoor. After that offer him flowers with a good fragrance. Now Lighten the deep and show him dhoop and incense sticks. Now offer him, sweets.
Now recite min 108 times the following mantra. You can also recite any other mantra which you have been reciting.
“Om Ganeshaye Namah”
Aarti is offered with the help of a plate made of metal which may be either silver, bronze or copper on top of which mud or a metal lamp filed with cow ghee and camphor and a thick wick is placed. The plate in which Aarti is should also contain items like flowers, roli, and akshata. Aarti is offered to lord Ganesha by circulating the plate in a circular motion in clockwise direction.
Once Aarti is done to the lord then offers it to yourself and other family members thereby getting the blessings which are been passed down from the God to the flame or the Aarti.
After completing the aarti you turn around in front of the altar clockwise three times and then prostrate before the deity. Take the prasad and distribute to your family members.
Ganesha Chaturthi Pooja Vidhi – Panchopchar puja
The main purpose of this puja on ganesh chaturthi is two-fold. Primarily it is to uplift the five senses of the worshiper to elevate him to a higher level of consciousness that will promote good thoughts and actions. Secondarily it draws upon the Indian traditions of honoring a guest, wherein each upachara is a service to the deity who takes presence in the sculpture for the duration of the Puja.
Together these five services are referred to as the pancha – upacharas, and include gandha, pushpa, dhoopa, deepa, and naivedya. Collectively, these five services engage the five senses.

Ganesh chaturthi pooja vidhi – Shodoshopchar puja is an elaborate procedure carried out rarely by devotees for 5, 7, 9 or complete 11 days.
There are mantras for each and every step in pooja. It is good to know these mantras in pooja if you are performing a shodashopachara pooja. As this is a detailed pooja and it is important to recite the mantras.
On the 11th day in the afternoon after 3 pm they do the aarti and after that go for Ganapati visarjan. Otherwise, they can do the visarjan on 12th day i.e Bhadrapad purnima

Sarva Sidhi Karam Dhruvam - Aavaahana – In the state of avahana you have to call upon the deity and ask it to join you during the ritual. For this visualize your deity then say you are invited to my house.
Om Gan Glong Shri Mahaganadhipataye Namah Avahayami Sthapayami - Aasana – After the invocation, the Lord Ganesha is offered a seat. At this time the deity is placed in the appropriate position. Part of inviting the deity is dedicating the space to His or Her use.

Om Gan Glong Shri Mahaganadhipataye Namah Padayoh Padyam Samarpayam - Arghya – This is the offering of fragrant water to the deity. Water containing sandal paste, rice, grains, and flowers is poured over the deity.

- Aachamana– In this the worshipper pours a little water in his palm, offers it to Lord Ganesha and then sips it himself for his eternal purification, put some drops on his hands for cleaning and then discarding the rest into the wastewater plate/bowl/cup
Om Gan Glong Shri Mahaganadhipataye Namah Mukhe Achamaniyam Samarpayami - Sampoorna Snaana – First bathe the deity with gangajal. After that bathe the deity with panchamrit(Dhoodh/milk, dahi/curd, ghee cheeni/sugar, madhu/honey). Then again bathe with gangajal.

- Yagnopaveetha – Offering the deity a yagyopavita or janeu(sacred thread).

The plate in which Aarti is should also contain items like flowers, roli, and akshata. Make lord Ganesha idol with clay by bringing clean soil from a river or pond. You can also prepare lord Ganesha by taking wheat flour and mixing 1/10th cow dung in it, make a Parthiv Ganesh and worship it for 11 days with the following mantras.

Take a laghu coconut, wrap it moli of your body length from head to toe. Wrap the moli in such a way that it hides the whole coconut. Now sprinkle Gangajal on this coconut and place it on a washed betel leaf. Now consider it as Ganesha and worship it with the following mantra using Panchopachar method.

Prana pratishta of mahaganadipatye in that coconut with tantric mantra’s to achieve the following:

- If you wish to accomplish a goal without any kind of disruption or obstruction
Take a clay pot. Paint it with rice paste. Make 3 swastiks on it with roli. Fill that clay pot or Kalash with Gangal jal or clean water. Put coin, laghu nariyal, supari, jayphal into the clay pot filled with ganga jal. Keep the bunch of panch pallava on the mouth of the Ghat. Wrap the coconut with red cloth and tie moli around it. Place it above the panch pallava. Now place it on the altar. Now consider it as mahaganadipatye and worship it with the following mantra’s using shodopchar method.
